Stories by Bernese authors
Manu Furrer performs with the best stories of the two well-known Bernese dialect authors Pedro Lenz and Guy Krneta. He loves the direct, personal contact with the audience. He is mobile and can inspire his audience everywhere, in the smallest of spaces.
Buumes (Krneta)
The funny story of the nice neighbours who stay sitting and settle into the living room after the party has reached cult status.
"We mr ässe, ässe si mit. Meischtens very weni. To me söuen is keni trouble. The next night, they put the cupboard back."
Lüthy (Krneta)
The philosophical story of the other neighbour who gets lost in his everyday life and only finds himself in the wilderness.
"I never gäh, I never water. Isch i Waud ynegloffe. Lüthy, I never heard that. I'm glad I'm here."
D Karin and dr Jean (Krneta)
The amusing wedding story tells how surprisingly differently a man comes to his wife.
"Dr Pfarrer het prediget. D Brutt het di ganz Zyt im Züügung umegluegt. I o. Where does Jean blybt?"
Ad acta (Krneta)
The morbid crime story about one of the world's best orchestras and its new conductor, who suddenly disappears mysteriously.
"Me heig ne grässe. Ke Stimm heig sech erheben. Ke's word. Ke Ton. And finally, heig heig heig heig heig heig heig heig heig heig.
Afghan (Lenz)
The Kafkaesque animal story: the wonderful dream as a great dog tips over into a nightmare when suddenly the alien police rings at the door of its owners.
"I have guet gha i däm Troum inne, äs sorrowsome lobe imene hundefründleche Umfäud, gregleti Frässenszyte u ne uute Persian carpet completely for mi elei... "But one of them is burning..."
Lotto (Lenz)
As always on Friday during the lunch break there is total concentration in the barrack, because everyone makes crosses on their lottery ticket. One of them takes off for a fantastic rocket ride, which he will do if he wins the millions.
"Champagne in the bathtub, but the champagne from the door of the champagne maker, not such a biuige Catalan grunt and two dancers, a Ukrainian dancer, or an opener, and the salmon roll is routed through Cuban stumps, from the cigarette machine.
Hösu (Lenz)
An amusing look back to childhood, back to the strange and hard laws of the playground, which tickles the listeners' lost memories.
"Both would be nice to have both, both would be the boss of the house, hei mi from servant usgwäut gha. Lick me like I'm stupid."
Gschichteunggle (Lenz)
The witty story of the storyteller of the fairy tale, who despite a good start in the children's tent goes astray and with his socially critical comments overshoots the target audience by far and is ultimately untenable.
"U d Ching si me geng no fasziniert a de Lippe ghanget, but i havet he voice lost, i havet no gschluchzet, i bi zämebruche a m Tischli, dhe Uterere hei ihri Ching discreet bir Hang gno u us däm Märlizäut usegführt"
