Après-ski hits, Oktoberfest hits, polka and Swiss hits - an exuberant party is guaranteed with the Rampenhirschen.

Real mood makers

They are three musicians from Bern who describe themselves as hobby Tyroleans: The Rampenhirsche. With their mix of polka, party hits, après-ski sound and newly interpreted Swiss songs, they get every audience dancing and swaying, whether at an Oktoberfest, a private party, a Christmas dinner or a ski chilli.

The band

The band was formed almost by chance: at a wedding party at 3 a.m., Sandro Santschi unpacked his Styrian harmonica and Daniel Flückiger his baritone and together they played the polka. The spontaneous concert gave rise to the idea of a joint hobby Tyrolean band. They were later joined by Daniel Palma, who provides the rhythm with his devil's fiddle. The Rampenhirsche combine Bernese conviviality with Tyrolean exuberance.

The musicians

Sandro Santschi plays the Styrian harmonica, called "Ziach" ("Ziachorgl", accordion) in Tyrolean dialect. He is unstoppable as soon as he takes out his instrument and loves to play Tyrolean polkas, boars and country dances.

Daniel Flückiger has years of experience with brass band music and plays the "Oberkrainer baritone" in the Rampenhirschen, with which he lays the bass foundation for the band's music.

The devil's violin (also known as the bumbass or beggar's violin) is a rhythm instrument and is played by Daniel Palma. The rustic instrument is handmade by band colleague Daniel Flückiger.
