Distinctive style and personal stories
With violin, Schwyzerörgeli and yodel, the duo Campanula creates calm, contemplative melodies as well as lively dance music that ensures a great atmosphere. Lisa Travella and Anita Dachauer met at the Lucerne School of Music. Their aim was to combine the Schwyzerörgeli from country music with the violin from classical music - an idea that took the musicians on a fascinating journey.
The two soon began to break away from their original musical roots and experiment with the diverse timbres of their instruments. This is how they developed their very own, unmistakable style. Their music tells personal stories, inspires and invites the audience to take a journey to themselves - an interplay of relaxation, pleasure and melancholy.
The musicians
Anita Dachauer (*1995) grew up on a farm in the Grisons mountains (Saas i. P.). From 2016 to 2019, she studied "Music and Movement" with Schwyzerörgeli as her main subject with Markus Flückiger at the Lucerne University of Music. Her wide-ranging studies inspired her to pursue her own creative paths in folk music. In 2019, she also began professional training in music therapy with integrated instrument making at the FMAS, which she completed in 2023. In addition to her own musical activities, she has been accompanying people with the healing power of music ever since.
Lisa Travella (*1994) comes from the Oberbaselbiet region and started playing the violin at the age of four. Before deciding to study music, she learned the traditional profession of violin making in Brienz - which gives her the privilege of playing on a violin she made herself. From 2016 to 2022, she studied classical violin at the Lucerne University of Music with Isabelle van Keulen. Folk music offers her a completely new form of expression away from classical music. She currently works as a freelance violin maker in Basel alongside her musical activities.
