Nostalgia in French
"Salut les Copains play unforgettable catchy tunes from the heyday of French chanson. From "Champs-Élysées" to "Nathalie" and "Main dans la main", the musicians offer you and your guests a re-encounter with Joe Dassin, Gilbert Bécaud and many other chansonniers. The duo does this minimalistically, with two voices and a guitar, but above all with a lot of charm and a fine pinch of irony. Best enjoyed with a glass of Bordeaux in a dignified atmosphere. Or in the dim light, huddled close together, like in a Parisian bar of the 70s.
The band and their performance
"Salut les Copains" is a duo from Aarau and consists of Benno Ernst (vocals, percussion) and Stephan Hunziker (guitar, vocals), who are also known and awarded as "Chommerbuebe". The experienced musicians prefer to play unamplified, on stage or in the midst of their guests. Intimacy is important - the soulful chansons should come across personally and authentically to the audience. Performances by "Salut les Copains" can also be slightly amplified (sound system available). Two sets of around 35 minutes each are played. By arrangement, several sets are also possible at your event - or just one set, for example as a musical introduction.
